Kilkenny County Council recently confirmed that parking in the Market Yard car park will be free from 8am-11am every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Although the festive season is still a long way away, the news will be of benefit to prospective Christmas shoppers in Kilkenny later this year.
No parking charges will apply to vehicles entering the car park from 8am and exiting before 11am on these days.
