Kilkenny gardaí issue stark warning to parents as another E-scooter seizure is carried out
The war on E-scooters continues in Kilkenny following another seizure
Yet another E-scooter has been seized by gardaí from a child near the Castle Oaks estate on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.
Last month, as reported by Kilkenny Live, an E-scooter was seized by An Garda Síochana locally after a child under the age of 16 was seen in use of the device. The child received a JLO Caution and Tusla was contacted.
However, as they worrying trend of E-scooter misuse continues, Kilkenny gardaí were forced to strike again this week.
This time community gardaí on a proactive patrol seized the device from the child near their Castle Oaks home.
“Every day in the news there is another report of a serious collision involving E-scooters,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Parents need to be more responsible and Tusla will be notified and a JLO caution to follow,” they added.
