Kilkenny gardaí use technology to make city arrest with culprit still in custody

Members of Unit C of An Garda Síochana in Kilkenny arrested a driver for a number of offences over the weekend, including being in possession of stolen goods.

The arrest was made possible by the Mobility App which roadside gardaí used to detect the driver.

The motorist was stopped in a vehicle on the Bennettsbridge Road where it was established the driver had an active bench warrant, no licence, insurance, NCT and currently disqualified.

"Driver charged and remanded in custody," a garda spokesperson confirmed.
