Kilkenny hurling great tries his hand at refereeing

Former Kilkenny team-mates were front and centre for very different reasons in a club game recently
There was a combined 17 All-Ireland medals on show at a recent club match in Kilkenny as Mullinavat hosted Tullaroan in a Junior F fixture.
Tommy Walsh, still going strong at 43 years of age, lined out for the ‘Sash’, but in an eye-catching twist, former Hurler of the Year and eight-time Liam MacCarthy winner Eoin Larkin swapped the sliotar and hurl for a referee’s whistle.
“The Junior F lads played well this evening with distance scoring. Special mention to Kilkenny hurling legends Tommy Walsh still going strong at number 5 for Tullaroan, and @VillageGAA Eoin Larkin, who has taken up refereeing,” Mullinavat GAA posted to social media.
