Kilkenny’s heritage and nature sector have both been given a major lift following the latest tranche of government funding.

“This funding supports a broad range of valuable initiatives, from oral history and cultural storytelling to conservation planning and heritage education. It is particularly encouraging to see projects that will engage local communities and younger generations in understanding and appreciating our shared heritage,” Deputy McGuinness commented.

“Their dedication and voluntary commitment play a hugely important role in protecting the heritage and identity of our communities for future generations,” he added.
