After 37 years of service, Kieran O’Connor, Sponsorship and Communications Manager with Glanbia has decide to leave the organisation and set up his own communications business from June.

He is familiar to Kilkenny people as the liaison between the Kilkenny hurlers and the Glanbia and he also looked after many farming events including the Glanbia stand at the Natipnal Ploughing Championships and other marquee events. His friendly manner endeared him to all who came into contact with him.

Glanbia will be maintaining an ongoing consultancy relationship with him and availing of his extensive sponsorship, media and event management experience.

“During his time in Glanbia, Kieran has been a valued member of the Glanbia Corporate Communications team, building and developing many strong relationships across the group as well as in particular in the agri and sports sectors externally,” corporate director with Glanbia, Gerladine Kearney said.

“We wish him and his family many years of health and happiness and success with his new venture,” Ms Kearney added.
