Shoppers are in for a treat this weekend when they visit the Kilkenny Christmas Market when the Kilkenny Brass Band will perform on Saturday at 3pm.
The Parade in Kilkenny has been transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland with brightly decorated cabins housing a variety of traders selling a range of Christmas gifts, seasonal food and stocking fillers.
Christmas gifts for sale include cashmere hats and scarf’s, silver jewellery, children’s handmade wooden toys, woodturned lamps, slate creations, and Christmas decorations. There are also traders selling seasonal food including Knockdrinna and Indulge bakery while the market is the perfect place to relax and have a delicious Belgian hot chocolate or a venison burger.
The markets are open from 10.30am on Thursday to Sunday until December 23 with free activities including the Nore Valley Mobile Farm on Saturday from 11am to 4pm and Mrs. Claus Storytelling in her cabin on Saturday and Sunday.
The market is also taking part in the St. Vincent De Paul Toy Appeal where you can bring unwrapped and new presents with you to our collection point where the toys will be distributed as part of the National campaign.
