What is your stance on the need for a home for the elderly in Kilkenny city?

What is your stance on the need for a home for the elderly in Kilkenny city?

Support the need for a home for the elderly, it is something that is badly needed and long over due.

What is your stance on the Universal Social Charge?

If in government we would abolish the universal social charge, it brings in d420 million, we would introduce a 3rd rate of tax of 48% on individual incomes of d100,000 instead, this would bring in d410 million, it is a fairer way of dealing with the situation and it makes economic sense, low and middle income earners cannot afford to spend money in local business as they have nothing left in their wage packet.

With the end of funding for the Kilkenny jobfit centre, which was successfully getting people back into employment, what would you do to help the unemployed?

Job Fit should not have its funding cut, along with this we have a job retention and creation plan targeted over the next 3 years. We are advocating that money be taken from the national pension reserve fund to fund this, currently the outgoing government are taking money from this fund to put into the banks.

Apart from yourself, which other four candidates will be elected?

I have no prediction on this, in an ideal world I would like to see candidates of the left getting in, but it probably will be 1 FF, 2 FG and 1 Lab.

In 20 words or less, why should people vote for you?

I believe that I am honest, hard working and genuine and SF have the right policies to turn things around for this country.
