IF YOU have a few hours to spare for a great cause then Special Olympics Ireland need you to lend a helping hand for their collection day which will take place throughout Ireland on April 27.
250 volunteers will be needed throughout the city and county to look after the collection points in Kilkenny, Thomastown, Callan and Castlecomer.
Annette Codd, Regional Director Special Olympics Leinster said “This is our largest annual fundraising event and as such is of huge importance to us. We need volunteers to help us collect on the day to ensure we are successful. Even a few hours will make a huge difference to us. Every donation we receive on April 27 will help us to further realise our promise of changing the lives of people with Intellectual Disabilities in every county in Leinster”.
