A VERY important meeting for all Dicksboro GAA and Camogie club members will be ehdl on Friday at 8pm sharp in the clubrooms at Palmerstown on the Tullaroan Road..
The purpose of the meeting is two-fold. A presentation of a final design plan, for consideration by club members, of the proposed clubhouse refurbishment/extension by Development Chairman, Simon Walton and members of the club`s Strategic Development Committee will be made. This exciting development promises to bring the clubhouse in Palmerstown to 21st century standard for the benefit of club members, present and past and the wider St. Canice`s and St. Mary`s parish communities.
Afterwards, there will be a discussion and formulation of a club five year GAA plan as per the requirements of the GAA countrywide. The five year plan, a necessary requirement for any grant aid assistance going forward, will concentrate on five key areas within the club:
• Coaching & Games Development
• Communications & Public Relations
• Club Structures & Administration
• Finance & Fundraising
• Facilities & Development.
This part of the meeting will be conducted in a workshop format facilitated by club planning officers of Kilkenny County GAA Board. To conclude the meeting light refreshments will be served. All members, friends and supporters of the club are asked to attend this important meeting and have a direct input into the future shape & operating principles of Dicksboro GAA club.
