Pilstock 2012 takes place on Saturday at 3pm at Anthony’s Inn, Piltown.
This year’s is supporting Chernobyl Children International, whose aim is to develop programmes that restore hope, alleviate suffering and protect current and future generations in the Chernobyl regions.
There will be a ‘Voice of Piltown’ competition, with registration beginning at 4.30pm, and the competition from 5-7pm, in which children up to 16 years of age can exhibit their talents for a chance to earn the distinction of winning the first ever ‘Voice of Piltown.’
There will be face painting, bouncy castles, penalty shootout, crossbar challenge, wheel of fortune, raffles and spot prizes, and more for all the family. A “very special guest” is also set to make an appearance on the day.
After the grand finale of ‘The Voice of Piltown,’ on Stage One there will be groups of bands and musicians, such as The Waxies, The DC, We The People, No Hot Ash, Caroline Ború, 20 Miles That Way. On Stage Two there will be traditional Irish music.
On the day there will be 50 children attending from Belarus.
