Waterford Regional Hospital has issued an update regarding revised access arrangements to the hospital and the Emergency Department (ED) in particular, from 6am on Wednesday, September 5 onwards.

Access to the ED will be via a new ED entrance at the back of the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Access to the Hospital for all other services, appointments, and visitors will be via the Main Entrance at the front of the hospital from 7am to 10pm. Between 10pm and 7am, access to the hospital will be via an entrance at the back of the hospital (adjacent to the new ED entrance).

This rear entrance is also in operation during the day.

The revised access arrangements are part of ongoing developments on the hospital campus and are an update on arrangements that were in place over the last year (which will end at 6am on Wednesday, September 5).

The hospital will have directional signage on the hospital campus to advise people of the new access arrangements and apologises for any inconvenience caused during the necessary works.
