An inspirational mother who lost her husband and son to suicide will appear on the Late Late Show tonight with her teenage son and share their experiences with the nation.
Angela Hayes and her son Alan who wrote a song Survivor about his mother have inspired people across the country since they decided to tell their story earlier this month.
Angela Hayes’ message is to have a strong bond with your family, be able to talk, to love unconditionally so that people feel safe and not to judge people.
The inspirational mother-of-five spoke at an event on raising awareness on suicide which was held in St Mary’s Cathedral recently where former Cork hurler Conor Cusack who spoke candidly about living with depression.
Angela Hayes received a standing ovation when she shared her own experience of losing her husband Tommy in 2002 and her son Thomas in 2011 to suicide.
The Late Late Show is Ireland’s most popular television show and is the world’s longest running chat show. The programme will air this evening at 9.30pm.
