Canadian blues trio

The first ‘Shaw Sessions’ of 2012 will take place this Friday when Rusty McCarthy, a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, artist, engineer and one of the finest blues and jazz guitarists on the scene today will perform at The GB Shaw Theatre, Carlow as part of his mini tour of Ireland with the Rusty McCarthy Trio.

The first ‘Shaw Sessions’ of 2012 will take place this Friday when Rusty McCarthy, a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, artist, engineer and one of the finest blues and jazz guitarists on the scene today will perform at The GB Shaw Theatre, Carlow as part of his mini tour of Ireland with the Rusty McCarthy Trio.

With a career spanning three decades and having already shared the stage with such greats as Alannah Myles, Tom Cochrane and the Bare Naked Ladies, Rusty is kept busy promoting his career on both sides of the Atlantic.

His most recent album, Letter To Kilkenny, an acoustic project he began in Ireland and finished in Canada, features catchy folk songs, Irish whistles, fiddles and mandolins.

Tickets are priced at €12.
