Progress on hurling statue for city

PLans for a hurling monument in Kilkenny City moved forward this month again, with the decision of the borough council to proceed with a procurement process.

PLans for a hurling monument in Kilkenny City moved forward this month again, with the decision of the borough council to proceed with a procurement process.

Cllr Joe Reidy (FF) has informed the council members that the Municipal Policy Committee recommended the move. A committee, which includes Mayor Sean O’ hArgain, Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council Marie Fitzpatrick, Pat Henderson and various local officials, is to be established.
