CBS students toast of the city

Seventeen young boys from CBS Secondary School in Kilkenny city recently completed their Toastmasters Youth Programme, sponsored by the Kilkenny Toastmasters Club.

Seventeen young boys from CBS Secondary School in Kilkenny city recently completed their Toastmasters Youth Programme, sponsored by the Kilkenny Toastmasters Club.

Those completing the course in oral communication and leadership training were: Simon Bluett, Danny Bolger, Jamie Byrne, Joe Byrne, Ryan Carey, Evan Cody, Dean Conlan, Dean Cornally, Paddy Deegan, Michael Dunne, Gary Kelly, David Kennedy, Luke Leydon, Ciaran Martin, Tommy Murphy, Andrew Wall and Shane White.

The Youth Leadership Programme was developed by Toastmasters International to help the young people of today become the leaders of tomorrow. The programme uses materials especially adapted for youth from the regular Toastmasters International public speaking program. More than three million people have benefited from the adult Toastmasters program since it was introduced in 1924.
