Nore Swim postponed until August 11

THE Nore Swim has been postponed.

THE Nore Swim has been postponed.

The annual event between Greensbridge and John’s Bridge city was to have been held on Saturday but high water levels in the River Nore have forced the organisers to postpone until Saturday, August 11. There were major safety concerns because of the flood waters and the speed of the current. Mick Power and his band of volunteers are hoping that as many people as possible will take part in the re-scheduled swim on August 11 which raises thousands of euro for local charities every year.
