Approval for new hall in Mullinavat

Permission for a new hall in Mullinavat has been granted by Kilkenny County Council.

Permission for a new hall in Mullinavat has been granted by Kilkenny County Council.

The existing hall is to be demolished and a new hall constructed, with new footpaths, car park and pedestrian bridge and modifications to the existing entrance. The planners ruled that “such an upgrade is necessary and acceptable in principle.”

The proposed new two-storey sports community hall is proposed in front of the school on a green open-space area. The ground floor is to include a sports hall, store room, library, toilets and general-purpose room, and the first floor includes multipurpose and meeting rooms.

Johnstown hall

Planning permission is meanwhile also being sought for a single-storey extension to St Mary’s Hall in Johnstown. The proposed extension to the rear of the hall is to provide toilet facilities and related works.
