Criminal damage case adjourned

A MAN who kicked in a door and hit it with a beer keg had his case adjourned to allow for payment of compensation.

A MAN who kicked in a door and hit it with a beer keg had his case adjourned to allow for payment of compensation.

Dean Cooke, 5 Bolton Green, Callan pleaded guilty to criminal damage at I newmarket Lane, Callan on February 23 and 3.

Solicitor Michael Lanigan told the court that the defendant saw a man going into a house and got it into his head that he lives there when in fact he didn’t.

The court also heard that the defendant has nine previous convictions and is doing a training course in Dublin.

Judge Eamon O’Brien adjourned the case to July 2 for compensation and ordered that as part of his bail conditions that the defensant stay away from the injured party and not contact them.
