The Presentation Secondary School will hold a fundraising gala concert on Thursday, April 25 in the Skyroom at Hotel Kilkenny.

Under the stewardship of choral director Veronica McCarron, the Presentation choral programme has enjoyed a stunningly successful season. In November last year, the senior choir participated in the Sligo International Choral Festival, where they won the two post primary three-part and four-part choral competitions.

Last month, the school swept the boards in the choral competitions at the Kilkenny Music Festival, winning six out of seven choral competitions, including the overall ‘Top Choir of the Festival’ – the Fr Sherin Trophy. Additionally, the Presentation solo singers won three out of four solo competitions for female voices.

The concert will begin at 8pm and will showcase the school’s award-winning choirs, soloists and dancers. The choral director/voice teacher is Veronica McCarron, while the choirs are accompanied by
Lydia McCann.
