Kilkenny man safe after Boston marathon

Kilkenny man, Patrick Purcell who competed in the Boston Marathon yesterday is safe and well. He made contact with his family after the race following the terrorist attack at the finish line.

Kilkenny man, Patrick Purcell who competed in the Boston Marathon yesterday is safe and well. He made contact with his family after the race following the terrorist attack at the finish line.

It is understood that he rang his parents and was not near the finish line when the two bombs detonated causing chaos, killing three people and injuring dozens.
