INTO claim Kilkenny classrooms are ‘overcrowded’

Up to 90% of Kilkernny primary school children are in classrooms above the EU average, according to an INTO survey.

The Irish National Teachers Organisation claims that Kilkenny primary classrooms are the most overcrowded in the country.

Up to a quarter of children are in classrooms of up to 30 pupils and more, according to the survey.

10% of pupils are in classes under 20.
