Historic event at Thosel as Mayor elected

OUTGOING Mayor of Kilkenny Sean o hArgain was praised for his energy and enthusiasm while his successor Mayor Martin Brett promised to adopt a positive outlook during his term in office.

OUTGOING Mayor of Kilkenny Sean o hArgain was praised for his energy and enthusiasm while his successor Mayor Martin Brett promised to adopt a positive outlook during his term in office.

Tributes were paid to the outgoing Mayor and his deputy Cllr John Coonan and Cllrs Martin Brett and Joe Reidy were congratulated on their appointment as Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

It was a historic event which marked the election of the last Mayor of Kilkenny Borough Council.
