Mayor’s gala ball a huge success

ON Sunday there was an extraordinary night of entertainment for the benefit of St Vincent de Paul in the Watergate theatre. 0ver 200 people came in and enjoyed The Gateway Orchestra, Ceoltas Kilkenny, St Patricks Brass and Reed band, The Rafter family, Marble city Sounds and Kilkenny Musical Society.

ON Sunday there was an extraordinary night of entertainment for the benefit of St Vincent de Paul in the Watergate theatre. 0ver 200 people came in and enjoyed The Gateway Orchestra, Ceoltas Kilkenny, St Patricks Brass and Reed band, The Rafter family, Marble city Sounds and Kilkenny Musical Society.

They gave there services free of charge. The stage manager was Seamus Reade of the musical society and MC was George Candler. Mayor Martin Brett also thanked Ger Cody and the staff of the Watergate for all there and encouragement and help to ensure a gret charity benefitted from a wonderful evening.
