MASKED raiders hijacked a car and forced the occupants out before driving away - leaving the occupants shaken but physically unharmed on the side of the road.
The incident took place in the village of Lisdowney at approximately 10pm last Tuesday (February 1) when five young people were ambushed by two masked men. The youngsters were talking to each other when a vehicle pulled up behind them and the two men jumped out and forced the occupants out of the car.
The men made off in the Ballyragget direction in the car, a white Honda Integra.
The jeep that the pair were originally travelling in was found burned out close to the scene a short time later. No arrests have been made and gardai are continuing to investigate the matter.
