GARDAI are urging vigilance after the number of daytime burglaries continued to increase across the count.
The gardaí recorded nine burglaries across the county last week. The gardaí said that many of the burglaries were committed during the daytime and urged householders to be vigilant when leaving their homes. A lot of the break-ins are now happening during the daytime when people are working.
The gardaí don’t believe that the burglaries are related but due to the wide geographical area where crimes are taking place – Ballyragget, Urlingford and Kilkenny city – they do believe that people are using vehicles.
The gardaí urged anybody who sees anything suspicious to contact them on 056 7775000.
