GARDAI have seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €360,000 in the latest drugs haul in the county.
The discovery was made at a house in Ballymorris area of Mullinivat, South Kilkenny earlier today (Thursday). As part of a planned search a cannabis cultivation operation and in excess of 400 plants were discovered.
Three males (one in his 20s, one 30s and one in his 40s)were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
This is the second significant seizure in recent months. Last month three men were charged in relation to one of the biggest cannabis finds in the history of the State at Piltown when €3 million worth of the drugs were found at a sophiscated cultivating facility.
