A FUNDRAISING event, Living the Dream will take place at Set Theatre on August 26 to help raise monies for young talent Jamie O’Brien who has won a scholarship to attend the prestigious Urdang Academy in London.
Artists include the Kilkenny Musical Society, who have a proud tradition for over 25 years performing in Kilkenny and Jesters Stage Academy, who have been developing young talent in Kilkenny for over 12 years. Jamie started in Jesters and spent 10 years training under the guidance of Olivia Smith, who will perform a duet with Jamie on the night. The night will also include performances from up and coming artists from Kilkenny including Ellen O’Sullivan, Ciara Walsh, Sadhbh Parle, Alan Hayes and Fionn Gardner.
Jamie will be joined by friends performing on the night including Michael Hayes, Declan Taylor, Emma McGuinness, with MC Kevin Reade and special guest Murt Brennan. “I would like to thank everyone that has helped me so far with making this night happen and everyone who has volunteered to take part.
