A MAN charged with robbing an 86-year-old woman has been remanded in custody for further directions from the DPP, writes Mary Cody.
Mariusz Chelstowski (35), of no fixed abode is accused of robbing Mary Nolan of her purse, which contained €200, on Walkin Street on July 10.
Solcitor John Harte told the court that he was waiting for medical reports that were not yet available.
Inspector Joe Carton said the circumstances had changed while the file for was the DPP and that further directions were being sought. Judge Eamon O’Brien remanded the defendant in custody to appear on November 20.
