The Kilkenny Arts Festival gets underway today with an exciting and eclectic programme to suit all tastes.
Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew by the Globe Theatre is already completely sold out this weekend and tickets are selling fast for next week’s shows.
Meanwhile only a handful of tickets remain for Neil Hannon’s highly-anticipated performance at St Canice’s Cathedral tonight.
The official festival opening party, celebrating 40 years of the festival takes palce at Butler House and Gardens at 5pm this evening and all are invited to come along.
Kilkenny Arts Festival is Ireland’s longest running multi-disciplinary arts festival. Every year hundreds of artists from all over the world perform throughout the city. The festival runs until August 18. For more see www.kilkennyarts.ie
