John Paul welcomes NRA move to build fly-over on Piltown bypass

A DANGEROUS junction which has been an accident blackspot over the years could be eliminated following confirmation from the National Roads Authority (NRA) that it is prepared to finance a flyover in the area, Fine Gael TD, John Paul Phelan, has confirmed. Subject to agreement with landowners in the area, the NRA says it is prepared to fund a flyover at the infamous Tower junction at Piltown on the busy N24 which links Rosslare and Limerick.

Subject to agreement with landowners in the area, the NRA says it is prepared to fund a flyover at the infamous Tower junction at Piltown on the busy N24 which links Rosslare and Limerick.

Deputy Phelan and his council colleague in the area, Cllr Pat Dunphy, have met with residents of the area and road users and made numerous representations to the authority over the years in an effort to address safety issues on the route.
