The Alliance Française of Kilkenny will present a concert by Galway singer Morgan Cooke in the Hole in the Wall, Kilkenny on November 9 at 8.30pm.
Called “J’entends Un Piano Dans Ma Rue” (I hear a piano in my street), the concert will feature French songs of the 20th century.
Morgan Cooke is an actor and musician who lives in Galway. He is a regular composer for Branar Drámaíochta, a company that produces theatre for children, and Taibhdhearc Na Gaillimhe. He worked with Dublin’s Rough Magic Theatre as musical director for their New York tour of the show ‘Improbable Frequency’. He is the co-founder of the cabaret-rock outfit Cuckoo Savante, whose song The House of Ill-Repute is used by Mary Coughlan as the title track to her latest critically acclaimed album.
Admission is €10 for non-members and €5 for members.
