It’s time to start planning for National Heritage Week, as July 6 is the deadline for events to be included in the Kilkenny Heritage Week Event Guide.
This year’s Heritage Week, which is co-ordinated by the Heritage Council, will take place from August 18-26. All types of heritage events and subjects are welcome; from céilís to bat walks, theatre events and archaeological digs.
For an event to be included in the Kilkenny Heritage Week Event Guide, which is produced by the heritage office of Kilkenny County Council, it must be submitted by July 6. Only events that are registered on the official Heritage Week website (www.heritageweek.ie) by this date can be included.
“This will allow us to meet our publishing deadlines and will also reduce errors in the event guide,” said heritage officer Dearbhala Ledwidge.
