The city’s Parliament Street has been hit with another vacant premises with the closure of Hackett’s bookmakers this month.
This brings to six the number of empty premises within a minute’s walking distance, spanning from the former Lifestyle Sports to the Chambers Inn.

Kilkenny Borough Council has approved planning permission to turn the former ACC Bank building into a restaurant, office and apartment, but that permission was only granted last month.
