The Kilkenny senior hurler will parade the torch around the recently opened Skyline attraction on the roof of the stadium before running the first leg of the torch relay through the streets of Dublin around 9.30am.

He’s among the 40 torch-bearers, including Eurovision twins Jedward, who will be taking part. The torch run is due to finish at the Olympic Stage in St Stephen’s Green at 11.30am.

Highlights from the relay, including Henry Shefflin carrying the torch in Croke Park, will be featured on TV3’s Ireland AM, according to the station, and RTÉ One said it would be running a special programme on the torch run starting at 11am.
