By-laws to restrict Heavy Goods Vehicle traffic may be on the cards for the Danesfort/Callan areas, following a meeting of the Callan Electoral Area members in December.

The councillors agreed that if a further traffic survey shows increased traffic volumes from Ballymack crossroads to Danesfort, the process of introducing by-laws should begin to prevent HGVs using the road except for deliveries and collections.
