Progress has been made on taking in charge two local estates by Kilkenny County Council.
At its December meeting, the council agreed to take in charge the estate of eight houses at Fair Green, Cloghabrody, Thomastown
During a preceding period of public consultation, “no objections or representations were received and the estate was completed in a satisfactory manner,” according to the council. “There are little or no financial implications in taking this estate in charge.”
The council also agree to begin the process of taking in charge The Paddocks, Paulstown.
“All the infrastructural works within the estate have been completed to the satisfaction of Kilkenny County Council and the common areas have been transferred into the council’s ownership,” according to a council report.
