Planning permission for a development of 10 houses has been given a further five years by Kilkenny County Council.
Permission for the “10 number dwelling houses and garages, with new vehicle access from public road, bored well, effluent treatment system and percolation area and all other associated site works at Skeoghvosteen, Tomnahaha, County Kilkenny” was originally granted in August 2007 but was set to expire in August of this year.
“The applicants state that they have not commenced the development due to the economic downturn,” according to the planning file.
Applicant Tom Dunne therefore sought a five-year extension to the permission, and Kilkenny County Council has given its approval for the permission to be extended to August 15, 2017.
