French week continues at Hole In The Wall

The French Week continues in the Hole in the Wall th with coffee and (French) conversation each day at 11.30am and subtitled French films every day at 3 and 6pm. The Rafter Family (that well-known Kilkenny musical dynasty) will be performing a French Concert on Friday at 8pm. There will be songs by Massenet, Martini, Fauré, Giraud, Bizet and Edith Piaf along with instrumental pieces by Saint-Saens, Massenet, Bizet and Debussy. Sean will be MC and Patrick will play violin; Isabelle cello and Alexander and Paddy senior will sing to the accompaniment of Maura on piano. Patrick junior is just back from the Bantry Chamber Music Festival where his quartet got great reviews in the Irish Times. Admission is €10 and a pleasant soiree musicale is guaranteed. The concert will conclude the French Week but do check also some of the daily offering of coffee, chat and cinema.
