National conference to be held in Kilkenny

THE DIRECTOR of Clinical Services at Aut Even Hospital will chair part of a national conference which will take place in Hotel Kilkenny on Saturday (September 29).

THE DIRECTOR of Clinical Services at Aut Even Hospital will chair part of a national conference which will take place in Hotel Kilkenny on Saturday (September 29).

The Irish Anaesthetic and Recovery Nurses Association (IARNA) conference will have a number of high profile speakers including Mr Jim Collins, a lecturer in lean methodogies at the University of Limerick. Other speakers include Ms Chris Price, Immediate Past President, ASPAN; Ms Grace Reidy, National Lead for TPOT, Ms Myrna Mamaril, Nurse Manager at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore; Dr Ailis Quinlan, Head of the Clinical Indemnity Scheme, Dr Niall Kavanagh, Consultant Anaesthestist at St Luke’s Hospital, Dr Niamh Hayes, Consultant Anaesthetist at the Rotunda Hospital, Professor Richard Costello, Consulatant Physician in Respiratory Medicine at Beaumont Hospital, Dr Laserina O’Connor who specialises in Pain Management at the Mater Hospital; Ms Phil Lohan IARNA, Ms Pat Smedley BARNA, Ms Chris Price ASPAN and Ms Bente Buch, the Danish Society for Anaesthesis and Critical Care.

The delegate fee for the conference is €75 and incluudes the conference, journal, lunch and refreshments, a trade exhibition, a poster competition, prizes and one year’s membership of IARNA.
