Renowned singer-songwriter Julie Feeney was supported by the CBS Kilkenny choir in the Watergate Theatre on the evening of Thursday November 22.
CBS is the only male choir that Julie has organised to work with during her nationwide tour to promote her new album ‘Clocks’. She was lavish in her praise of the students’ work and performance.
The students were very professional and enthusiastic throughout the training in recent months, and excelled at the performance itself. Julie provides a unique night of entertainment and her pieces are very creative and technically difficult.
Under the excellent guidance of music teacher Mandy Dowling, assisted by Lorraine Maher, the young men did themselves and the school community proud. The packed house were thoroughly entertained by the internationally-renowned artist’s eclectic musical talents, which fused imaginatively with the school’s newest collection of young male voices.
Well done to all who participated so enthusiastically on the night.
