Team for the all ireland is ready

The practice is over and it’s now time for the All Ireland.

The practice is over and it’s now time for the All Ireland.

Kilkenny County Ploughing Association held it’s last meeting before the All Ireland Ploughing Championships in Laois later this month at Connolly’s of Dunbell. The team to represent Kilkenny was ratified at the meeting.

Team: Senior reversible Brian and Garry Ireland; two furrow conventional Thomas Hartley, Cathal Brady and Tommy Cuddihy; under 28 conventional John Doody; under 21 conventional Tony McGrath; farmerette Michelle Heartly; Macra class John Conway; three furrow standard Ned Conway; vintage hydraulic Tommy Cullen; vintage single furrow Peter McDonald; standard reversible Daniel O’Dwyer.

The chairman congratulated the Irish team on their recent success in Canada and especially Brian Ireland team manager.

He thanked county team sponsor Kilmacow Fuel and Agri for their support of the team. He wished all every success in Laois.
