Preparations for the 2011 Festive Fillies Fundraiser are now in full swing. The brainchild of a group of ladies from Mullinavat The Festive Fillies fundraiser has continued to surpass our expectations despite the current climate. The Festive Fillies have raised more than €60,000 to date for many Kilkenny and Waterford based charities. This year’s eight chosen recipients are the The Aislinn Centre, Aware, The Jonah Project, Cystic Fibrosis of Ireland, The Oasis House, SERT, Waterford Hospice and The Jack and Jill Foundation.
The fundraiser will be held in the Rising Sun, Mullinavat on Saturday, 3rd December. Last year it attracted more than 240 ladies who were wined, dined and danced the night away to the amazing ‘Keith McDonald and his Show band.’ Due to the fantastic response Keith received last year we have secured him again for this years event so we are assured of a packed dance floor. This year the tickets cost €50 and include a 4 course meal plus a complimentary drinks voucher for the bar and live entertainment into the early hours.
A big raffle will take place on the night with many prizes on offer such as a City break to London including flights and accomodation kindly sponsored by Harvey Travel and Aer Arann, a Mount Juliet Day Spa, a Ballymoloe Cookery Demonstration with a Lunch Voucher for 2 people plus up to 200 more fantastic prizes on the night. Also everyone gets to bring home a goodie bag packed with lots of great treats. All funds raised go towards supporting the eight charities.
We encourage you to support this charity event in any way you can and assure you that you are guaranteed a wonderful nights entertainment while at the same time helping much deserving charities. A Limited number of tickets are still available so should you wish to attend this wonderful Christmas Party Night please contact Susan Walsh on 087 1301059.
