RECENTLY retired professional rugby player, Ian Dowing will hand over his representative jerseys at a special night in his honour at Kilkenny Rugby Club, Foulkstown on Saturday, December 10 at 8pm.

The former Munster and Irish winger had his career cut short by a serious hip injury and is now completing his sports physiotherapy degree at the University of Limerick.

“This is an opportunity to say thanks to Ian for all the entertainment and joy he has given us and as the winner of the European Heineken Cup medals it is fitting that his home club should pay tribute to him,” the president of the club, Tim Kiely, said. The evening is completely free and is open to everyone including past members and sports fans in general.
