Dangerous stretch at Maudlin, Castlecomer repaired

Drainage works have been completed on a dangerous stretch of road at Maudlin, Castlecomer on the raod to Conahy. Cllr. Maurice Shortall says a combination of road edge erosion and dike malfunction had led to numerous difficulties for vehicles some of which had to be pulled by tractor out of the incline. “Thankfully there has been a swift response from the area engineer and his outdoor staff to rectify the problem,” Cllr Shortall said.
