Consultation period on bus service ends Friday

The closing date for applicants to the National Transport Authority to tender for licence to service the Urlingford, Johnstown, Cullahill Durrow, Abbeyleix, Portlaoise route is this Friday.

The closing date for applicants to the National Transport Authority to tender for licence to service the Urlingford, Johnstown, Cullahill Durrow, Abbeyleix, Portlaoise route is this Friday.

In the first week of September, all submissions will be considered by the NTA, after which a decision will be made on whether a permanent service should be put in place. At that point a meeting will be called to inform the public.

Meanwhile the shuttle service currently in operation is due to continue until the end of September.
