Kilkenny is the worst in Ireland when it comes to passing the driving test, according to figures from the Road Safety Authority.

Kilkenny is the worst in Ireland when it comes to passing the driving test, according to figures from the Road Safety Authority.

Those who took the driving test in Kilkenny last year had a pass rate of 39.70% – meaning that nearly two-thirds of people sitting the test failed it, according to the data.

Compare this with Ennis, where the opposite was true, with a pass rate of 68%.

The national average pass rate in 2011 was 54.56%, according to the RSA.
