A major Catholic Conference, the largest since the International Eucharistic Conference, will be held in Kilkenny city this September. A year after the International Eucharistic Congress and in celebration of The Year of Faith the forthcoming Faith of Our Fathers Conference and
Exhibition in the city promises to be an inspiring and exciting event.
Organised by Catholic Voice, the event from September 13 to 15 will include a programme of talks by prominent speakers on the themes of: liturgy, family and life, faith formation, Marian shrines, catechism, eucharistic miracles and Catholic education.
The conference will be one of the largest religious events of the year with six leading speakers each day, dozens of workshops and in addition to a range of talks each day, there will be a large exhibition with over 60 different exhibitors showcasing Catholic services and products to enhance the faith. Mass will be celebrated daily - an extraordinary three days for the enrichment of the faith for all Catholics. The conference will be opened with a Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Ossory, Seamus Freeman. Among the speakers will be Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin, Irish Times columnist John Waters, former MEP and Pro Life campaigner Dana Rosemary Scannell, US priest and scholar Father Peter Stravinskas, former MEP Kathy Sinnot, founder of Libertas and entrepreneur Declan Ganley and Scripture scholar Frances Hogan.
