Traffic restrictions will be in place from 10am this morning at Borris Fair, Co Carlow. Crowds are already congregating for one of the oldest events of its kind in the country, stretching back hundreds of years. Gardai will be maintaining a strong presence to ensure the fair passes off without incident. Motorists are advised that the main street will be closed from 10am.
Traders have been putting up their stalls since Tuesday and up to 10,000 visitors are expected during the August 15 event.
