A PIECE of artwork has been stolen from Kilkenny city centre, and its owner is asking for the public’s help in getting it back.

The work in question is one of a series of 6-foot-by-4-foot wooden panels that are positioned around the city to coincide with the Kilkenny Arts Festival this week.

Created by artist Gary Tynan, the artwork located at James’s Street was taken sometime over the weekend. It depicted a “Redcoat with a modern high-powered sniper rifle”.

Anyone with information about what happened to the artwork is asked to contact Liam Mannix on 086 0550755.
